AWS is proud to introduce the new Little Russet Bell, made in the northwoods of New England. Each one is handmade, tuned and finished with an AWS seal and the year of the bell's manufacturing hammered in place. The bell has a plum brown finish, a metal oxidation (rust) process giving it its Russet name.
Slightly smaller than the RGS Pa'tridge Bell, the Little Russet Bell is ideal for closer-quartered woodcock covers, yet still can handle double-duty for grouse cover as well.
These bells provide a pleasant tone that carries well through the woods and respond to the dog's stride, the harder the dog runs the further the tone carries. Ideal for a 3/4" to 1" dog collar, it is recommended to run the collar directly through the bell.
As these bells are hand-struck and being a smaller bell, make it harder to strike, we do have a handful of bells with an incomplete AWS seal on the face (see photo for example) that are discounted (subject to availability).
